We are currently seeking applicants in the Jacksonville FL area for the following opportunities with Taylor’s Communications Inc.:

  • Low Voltage Technician
  • Dispatcher

LOW VOLTAGE TECHNICIAN

We are seeking individuals to work as part of our field service team to install, troubleshoot and repair Drive Thru communication and timer systems for the QSR industry, install and terminate data cables, cameras for commercial environments, and perform various other low voltage related jobs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high quality work and be capable of working independently.

Preferred qualifications include, but not are not necessarily required to start are:

  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Basic mechanical & electrical knowledge
  • Ability to follow all safety rules and wear proper safety equipment.
  • Team oriented while also being an independent thinker
  • Have physical capability to do some lifting and climb ladders
  • Knowledge of basic computer related skills, such as using the internet, mobile devices, and email software
  • Maintained accurate inventory of stock and field devices
  • Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with Taylor’s Communications, Inc.

Duties will eventually include, but will not be limited to:

  • Maintenance and Installation of systems and components marketed by our Company
  • Field work including maintenance and installation Specialized Intercom, Timing, and Video Systems for the Quick Service Industry as well as Sound, CCTV, Low Voltage A/V, and Access Control Systems
  • Documenting work completed to include filling out appropriate paperwork, taking pictures of work from end-to-end and uploading them to Company website, downloading test results and returning all documentation to the office
  • Be capable of traveling to various locations in Florida and South Georgia, staying overnight if required.
  • Be available for on-call work on some weekends.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Valid and Clean Florida driver’s license.
  • Operating knowledge of general electronic/electrical repair, maintenance equipment and efficient use of repair parts.

DISPATCHER

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE but are not limited to:

  • First point of contact, answering calls and emails and/or directing those inquiries to the proper resource
  • Determine the most efficient travel method and pattern for each technician to visit multiple sites
  • Verify with technicians that they have fully completed tasks and approve them moving on to their next assignment
  • Follow up with clients to assess their level of satisfaction
  • Create work orders and coordinate them operations and field personnel
  • Data entry

DISPATCH REQUIREMENTS

  • Outlook and Excel experience are a requirement
  • Excellent communication (both written and spoken), problem-solving and time management skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to read maps and familiarity of the service area (Florida, Georgia, and surrounding areas)
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of simPRO is PLUS!
  • Type 30+ WPM

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE but are not limited to:

  • Processing accounting receivables and incoming payments in compliance with Taylor’s Communications’ financial policies and procedures
  • Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
  • Preparing client invoices and readying bank deposits
  • Verifying discrepancies and resolving clients’ billing issues
  • Facilitating payment(s) of invoices due, by monitoring aging data and contacting clients as well as maintaining records regarding those payments and history of follow-up
  • Performing administrative and clerical tasks such as data entry, preparing invoices, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts
  • Generating reports and statements for internal use

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 1 year in a similar role
  • Strong math, typing, and computer skills
  • Excellent communication (both written and spoken), research, problem-solving and time management skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with Excel and Outlook are a requirement
  • Experience with Quickbooks is a PLUS
